Prasidha Menon joins Airbnb for India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan


Prasidha Menon recently joined Airbnb to lead integrated brand communications in India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. In this leadership role, Prasidha will be responsible for designing and executing the company’s integrated communications strategies, designing influencer engagement campaigns and promoting the company’s reputation in accordance to Airbnb’s overall business strategy for the region.

One of the country’s youngest communications and marketing executives, Prasidha Menon has mastered the art of delivering results in some of the world’s toughest operating environments. She is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with over 16 years of experience working with some of the most exciting and empowering brands in the country. She

In her previous role, she was Director of Brand, Marketing and Communications for Optum Global Solutions, India, a UnitedHealth Group company. Prior to that, as Vice President and Global Head of Communications at OYO Hotels & Homes, she led the brand’s internal and external communications globally. A key member of the leadership team, Prasidha was responsible for building the brand globally and managing the Founder’s office.

Prior to OYO, Prasidha led communications for Uber in India and South Asia, where she built a global brand through corporate story development and storytelling, leadership positioning and executive communications, driving communications for multiple business milestones, strategic partnerships, executive visits, geographic expansion, product launches including market entry of UberEats business and expansion to over 20 cities in India in less than 15 months.

Prasidha has also worked with leading PR agencies including Edelman India as a Technology Account Manager, where she developed communications strategies and consumer campaigns for some of the biggest tech brands and Fortune companies. 500. During her time at Edelman, she won the coveted Edelman DJE Fellowship Program, conceptualized and sponsored by President and CEO Richard Edelman, which gave her the opportunity to work for Edelman Digital in San Francisco.

Prasidha specializes in integrated communication campaigns, with a strong focus on content and creative visualization, amplified by earned, owned and paid media. She is known to be solution-oriented, self-directed, process-oriented, and a proactive and accountable professional, with strong logical thinking skills, media and influencer relations, and a can-do attitude. She is a strong advocate for women in the tech and PR industry and believes that as communicators one should always be open to challenges and learn to feel uncomfortable.

Over the past two years, she has won several industry awards and accolades, including participating in E4M 100 most influential game changer 2020 2020 Public Relations & Communications Professionals List, Agency Reporter’s 40 Under 40 List, Winner of ET Now’s Stars of the Industry – Women Leadership Award for Media & Public Relations 2019, among others.

Prasidha holds a BA in Commerce (Honours) and an MBA in Marketing and Finance.
